CONGEP - According to the association of the export-oriented Garment Manufacturers Confederation of Garment Exporters of the Philippines (CONGEP) the entire industry consisted at the end of 2007 around 790 companies, the number of employees counted approximately 280.000 persons.
The branch association itself counts 30 major manufacturers as members. A small business has, according to CONGEP, up to 1.500 employees, a medium sized company employs about 3.000, a large company 6.000 to 7.000 employees. The production reaches on average about 2 to 7 million dozen pieces a year
